14 YEAR-OLD BABE RUTH WORLD SERIES IN
LOUDOUN COUNTY VIRGINIA
FIREMAN’S FIELD, PURCELLVILLE
VA
AUGUST 21 – 28, 2010
Host Families - Players from each of the out-of-state teams will reside with families in the Loudoun community. Being a host family means that you can choose to open your home to as many as four players during the tournament. The players will arrive on August 15 and leave no later then August 25, depending on how long their team continues to play in the tournament. Your responsibilities will include: transporting the players to and from each practice, game and tournament sponsored activity; providing meals for the players during their stay; washing the player’s clothes and uniforms as needed during the tournament; providing parental supervision for their length of stay. There will be an orientation meeting prior to the player’s arrival, and various events during the tournament that you should plan to attend. If you think you are interested and would like to open your home to a visiting player, call Joe Robillard 703-282-7410.
Volunteering to Work at the Ball Field
- There are hundreds of volunteers needed to make the tournament a success. We need people to work in the concession stand; selling souvenirs, tickets and programs; parking cars; acting as ushers; and helping in lots of other ways to make the tournament a success. If you can give some time during the tournament, please call 540-338-0012 and leave us a message or send an email to info@loudounbrws.com.
We encourage you to get a group together from your job, church or civic group and volunteer as a team.
We are still looking for someone to serve as our Volunteer Coordinator, so if you are interested in helping to coordinate our volunteers let us know that as well.
